IES Joan Llopis Marí

IES Joan Llopis Marí, located in Cullera, in the Valencian Community (Spain), addresses with determination the challenges related to the diverse needs of its students. Focusing particularly on young people from socio-economically disadvantaged, culturally diverse, or different ethnic backgrounds, the institution is committed to providing adequate resources and programs to support them in their educational journey.

In the 2020/2021 academic year, the institution has 468 students, of whom 180 are enrolled in vocational training programs. A significant percentage of these students are immigrants, whose presence steadily increases year by year. The educational offerings include various levels of education, from compulsory education to vocational training. Additionally, special programs are available to support students with special educational needs and those who face the challenge of learning a new language.

The teaching staff of the institution consists of 65 teachers, supported by personnel dedicated to the orientation and support of students with specific needs, such as those with hearing or linguistic disabilities.

IES Joan Llopis Marí stands out for its strong commitment to current issues, such as environmental awareness and the promotion of coeducation and non-discrimination. Through projects like an ecological garden and training programs on gender issues, the institution seeks to actively engage students in matters relevant to contemporary society. Additionally, it has implemented a PLAN DE CONVIVENCIA to support students with learning difficulties and to prevent school dropout.
